If you missed GameNARP last Friday you just missed the best one day gaming event in South Florida. The turnout was incredible and everyone had a blast. Congratulations to all of our tournament winners. We'd also like to say congratuations to Manuel Soto, who won our Bomberman raffle, and two free tickets to the convention. Check out our photos below, and don't forget to come to Florida Supercon, June 5th-7th. We'll be running tournaments for Smash Bros. Brawl, Soul Calibur 4, and Punch-Out!!, another Nintendo World Championship competition, and a Rock Band Battle of the Bands.

Nintendo World Championship 1990 is one of the rarest games available for the NES, with the gold cartridge version considered by many to be the "holy grail" of video game collecting. This tournament is your chance to own a reproduction of video game history- the winner recieves the very same cartridge!

Before I begin, let me go on record by saying I have only played the original “Outrun” in the arcade. I didn’t play any of the other console variations, sequels, knock-offs, spin-offs, or what have you. This is my first “new” Outrun game since my local arcade went belly-up a few years back. Alright, so I played a little bit of Outrun 2 on an XBOX at my local Gamestop, but that doesn’t count. That being said, Outrun Online Arcade is fairly faithful to the original, but then again if you played Outrun 2, then you’d already know that considering this is almost a direct port (Actually, I later found out it’s actually a port of Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast. Thank you, Wikipedia!).
Now, for some people that might be an automatic turn-off, but as far as I’m concerned I’ve never owned an XBOX, so I was more than happy to pick this little number up off of LIVE and give it a try; hit the jump for more info.

General Rules:
The tournament is limited to the first 32 players who register.
3 Stock
8 minute timer
Items are set to "off" and "none"
If the timer runs out, the victor is determined first by stock and then by percentage.
Metaknight's Infinite Cape glitch is banned.
If a game ends with Bowser doing his suicide klaw and it ends in sudden death, the sudden death will be ignored and that game will count as a win for Bowser.
You are responsible for your own controller and name tag. Any malfunctions or errors that occur are your responsibility, so bring an extra controller if possible and always check to make sure you're using the correct settings BEFORE a match is played. If a match is to be restarted due to controller functions, it must be agreed upon by both parties.
Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.
Stalling is banned.
In celebration of my new video capture device I thought I'd do a play through/review of the first Zelda game. Sorry for the poor quality. I'll tr to fix that in the next part. Enjoy.
Part 1-A
It's been 15 year since Super Punch-Out was released on the Super Nintendo. Nintendo has finally returned with a new installment for the Wii. New challengers have appeared and old foes have returned for what looks to be bright spot amongst the horde of mediocre titles on the system.
I finally took it upon myself to practice some Street Fighter IV this week after leaving the disc to collect dust for the past two, and I was amazed at how much the collective SF community had improved in the time I’d been away. It went without saying that I had a long way to go; as the more skilled players had moved up in rank, leaving me behind to wallow in the mire with spammers, “scrubs” and first-time players who just learned to throw their first Hadoken.
