BitChallenge Episode 1 - Contra

Mon, 03/23/2009 - 02:14 — Kaos

We're all hardcore gamers at Infinite Bits. Therefore, we're happy to introduce a new web series entitled BitChallenge. In it, we challenge friends and staff members to do the impossible (or near impossible) in some of their favorite games past and present. In our first episode, we have Mike "The Mighty" Pinto taking on one of our favorites, the original Contra for the NES. His challenge - beat the game... with one life and no powerups. All of our challenges are done on the actual game hardware (no emulators), and we've embedded a complete, unedited version of the run after the break.

Community Vibes IV

Tue, 02/24/2009 - 16:34 — Kaos

This past weekend, Infinite Bits attended Community Vibes IV, a fantastic free event put on by Gamertag Radio. There was live music, plenty of prizes given away, and lots of games to play. We brought along our Super Nintendo and Dreamcast kiosks, our NES TV, and a great selection of retro and next-gen games.

Broward Anime Festival and Upcoming Events

Thu, 02/12/2009 - 16:59 — Kaos

This past weekend, the Infinite Bits crew were at the Broward Anime Festival, spreading the word about our convention in October and giving people a taste of what's to come. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on the Wii was quite the hit, so if you didn't get to play this weekend, we promise to bring it to future events. We also brought along a couple of rare items from our museum. Check out the pictures below.

We'd also like to announce that we'll be at Community Vibes on February 21st, as well as running gaming at Florida SuperCon in June. Community Vibes looks to be a great event, and it's free, so there's no excuse to stay home. Stop by our table, say hello, play some games, and don't forget to pre-register for Infinite Bits 2009 and save yourself $10.

We're also working on more local events in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. Check back for more information.
